Do you really need a restoration construction company?

At GTG Construction, we do more than remodel and restore homes and buildings – we solve problems and transform spaces. Our talented team delivers quality customer experiences and excellent craftsmanship at an amazing value.

We are a licensed, bonded, and insured (Lic#GUSTAVL825DM). Family-owned and operated in Lakewood, WA, we love to do quality work for our neighbors.

  • Insurance Experts: We’re experienced at working directly with your insurance company to simplify the claims process and maximize what you get.
  • In-house crews: Our crews are almost 100% in-house so we have more control over the timeline and quality of work, giving you more peace of mind.
  • Responsive communication: This shouldn’t have to be mentioned, but some restoration companies take on so many projects that they lose the ability to communicate in a timely manner. We’re committed to excellent customer care.
  • Skilled technicians – Reconstructing homes is a little different than simply remodeling. Our techs are used to the quirks that older homes sometimes have. They know how to work with your space and solve problems.

If you’re looking for a typical kitchen remodel or bathroom renovation, we do that too, but it’s a different process.

What about mitigation (aka clean up)?

When you experience a flood, fire, plumbing backup, or damage from a storm, the first step is to stop the immediate problem and clean up your property. We have great relationships with emergency plumbers and mitigation companies that safely solve plumbing issues and clean and dry out your property.

FAQs

K
L
Can you do upgrades in insurance restoration?

It’s the restoration contractor’s responsibility to bid the project to replace like items for like. However, if a property owner wants to upgrade certain items or remodel other areas of the property at the same time, a separate contract directly with the homeowner can be agreed to. This can be a great way to check off some of the goals you have for your property in one larger project instead of several disruptive projects.

Can you choose your own insurance restoration contractor?

Yes, property owners have the right to choose their own restoration construction company. You’re not required to use the company recommended by your insurer, plumber, or mitigation company. These recommendations may be great, but make sure your restoration contractor has your best interest at heart. Check reviews and workmanship carefully before you sign a contract and any questions you may have.

How does payment work in insurance restoration construction?

Typically, the insurance company pays the property owner. The property owner will have a contract directly with the restoration company. The property owner pays for the work out of the insurance proceeds, usually in a series of installments as work gets done. The insurer will periodically inspect the work to insure that the contracted work gets completed.
